My name is Andrew Parker Hunt. I am a student in Clovis, California, and I build software, mostly systems things, security things, and websites that are far smaller than they are supposed to be.
Away from a screen
I hold a 1st-degree adult black belt in martial arts, which took twelve years.
I have hiked to the summit of Half Dome at six, El Capitan at eight, and Mt. Whitney, the tallest mountain in the contiguous United States, at 14,505 ft, at thirteen. That last one was during a thunderstorm.

At a screen
Linux and macOS, daily. Not Windows, unless the work insists.

I care a lot about software that is finished: things that do one job, start instantly, and can be explained end to end. This site is the argument: every page here loads in a single request, with no JavaScript, no webfonts and no third-party anything.
If you want the short version, it is on the home page. If you want the long version, it is in the ideas notebook.
